You Invited Your Princess, so What’s Next?

You’ve made the magical decision to invite a real-life princess to regale and entertain on your child’s special day! It will surely be the best birthday she’s ever had, but there are a few more things you can do to prepare for the big day. We’ve put together some of our favorite ideas to help you plan.

Fill Out Your Questionnaire

Shortly after you reserve your party date, we will send you a questionnaire to complete. We know it kind of sounds like a homework assignment, but we promise it’s nothing you’ll need to haul out that old graphing calculator for! Your questionnaire is simply a form you’ll complete to fill us in on the details of your event and anything you think we should know about your child. Once you’ve nailed down the time, address, and other details of your party, you can start inputting them into your questionnaire. Having all of this information in one place in advance of the event is super important for us, as it will ensure that we have everything we need to make your little girl’s big day absolutely perfect.

Create Invitations

Your invitations are a crucial piece of the party planning puzzle, and they’re something you should start thinking about pretty early in the process. Make sure to include all the details your guests need to know, like the date, time, and address of the party, and any RSVP information. As long as you have all of the facts somewhere on the invitations, you can do pretty much whatever you’d like when it comes to designing them. You can stick to the basic packages of fill-in-the-blank invitations you can find at any party supply store, purchase customized invitations from online shops, or even hand make your own using craft supplies. It can be especially fun to have your little girl help out with designing using construction paper, stickers, glitter, and markers.

Plan Your Decor

Imagine how exciting it will be for your little girl to walk into a beautifully decorated party space on her big day! She will feel like the belle of the ball, as she should on such a special occasion. You can make her dreams for a charming, stunning day come true through lovely decor and an exciting atmosphere. It’s so easy to decorate for a princess party, because you have a theme already built in by using your princess visitor’s signature colors and her backstory from your child’s favorite storybooks. Basic party necessities, like balloons, streamers, confetti, and tableware, can be found in your princess colors easily and inexpensively. Creating a cohesive theme for your party will go a long way toward giving your event that immersive feeling your child will cherish forever!

Get a Cake

Children’s parties and cake go hand-in-hand, so you’ll want to make sure you’ve got a tasty treat ready for the big day! A princess party cake can be simple or elaborate, as long as it reflects your little girl’s personality. Choose her favorite flavor for a personalized dessert, and then decorate it in the way you think she’ll appreciate the most! There are so many unique cake design out there, from entire castles carved out of cakes to cakes shaped like ball gowns, and any of them would be perfect for a princess party! Another idea is to go with a simple sheet cake frosted in a color to match your theme, then decorate it with royal touches, like edible pearls, edible flowers, lace designs, and princess figurines.

Choose Party Favors

Kids love to feel special and appreciated. They will have just had a ton of fun during your little girl’s special day, and giving them a special take-home treat is a wonderful way to let them take some magic back with them! Your party favors don’t need to be expensive because kids will be delighted by anything you give them. Some popular choices for princess party favors include wands, tiaras, and princess figurines or dolls. You can also go the traditional route with candy-filled treat bags, stickers, or a craft that the kids created while at the party. This is an excellent activity to have the kids work on toward the end of the party, as it will be a great way for them to unwind and prepare to head home.

Tell Your Guests About the Princess

A princess visitor is an exciting treat for your child and her friends, and her presence will prove to be the most exciting aspect of the special day! It will be even more exciting when the kids are expecting and anticipating her arrival. It’s a great idea to let the other parents know ahead of time about the princess so they can prepare their children for the excitement. Putting a note in your invitations is an easy way to get the word out with enough time for the parents to ready their kids for the party!
